It is a poignant Google Earth discovery with a touching story.
Pedro Martin Ureta, an Argentine farmer from General Levalle (Córdoba), has created a giant guitar in memory of his late wife, Graciela, died too soon.
The guitar is 1105.13 metres in length, 412.19 metres at the widest part and the star-shaped centre has a radius of 104.33 metres (3.42 acre).
But this surprising creation, consisting of almost 7000 cypress and eucalyptus trees, has a sad history.
Pedro Martin Ureta, who is 70 years old today, has built this guitar in tribute to his wife Graciela Yraizoz, who died at the age of 25 in 1977 of a ruptured aneurysm.
Mr. Ureta has never had the opportunity to see his own guitar from heaven, because he is afraid of flying. But he hopes that Graciela, she can admire.
